Its that time of the year again. Time for everyone to get together, open gifts, enjoy good company, and eat good food. A few things I’m thankful for this year. One is my soon to be daughter, my wonderful girlfriend, my family, and my awesome friends who have always been there for me and supported me. They know exactly who they are. Thank you guys, don’t know how I would be able to do it without you! A lot of people say that this year was terrible for them, but for me, it was a great year. Hopefully next year will be even better. Merry christmas everyone!

Yep, you heard right. For those who haven’t heard, we’re going to be having a little girl in Feb. We were both hoping for a boy, but we’re still happy that we’re having a girl. Best part is, we already have a name picked out. Her name is Claire Madison Hillyard. And wow, it just hit me hard seeing her name actually typed out. I’ve said the name to myself a few times before, but it didn’t ever hit me. Guess some things you just have to see for yourself. I can’t wait to actually hold her for the first time. And then again, I’m scared. I just don’t know what it’s going to be like to be a father. I sometimes ask myself if I’m really ready for this or not. Then again, who really is when the time comes. So many questions and concerns, and yet, so many things to look forward to. Guess it’s also time to start thinking about personal protection for my new family. A 1911 .45 acp is sounding quite nice for that area.

Yep, you heard right. After my last post, the sales manager called me and told me to come back in to do the paperwork and take a salesman license test. Passed the test with a 100% (it was open book obviously lol) and had to fill out a large stack of papers. It’s been a week since then now. Last day of training was yesterday, so now I’m on the floor full time. I’ve got a couple potential sales so far, so we’ll see what happens now. Haven’t made a car sale yet, but it’s what I expected since I’ve never done this before. Looks like I get Sundays and Tuesdays off, so during the winter I’ll have Tuesday to go up to the mountains and shred a lil. But anywho, the job doesn’t seem bad at all. All the people there are pretty chill, so that helps with getting through the day. If you know anyone looking to buy a car, send them my way. I’ll take care of them

Well, I finally took a leap of faith and decided it was time to look for a new job. Sent my resume out to a lot of different places and got a couple hits back. One from Mike Shaw Subaru and the other from Financial Foundation Group. As you can tell from these two, I’m getting out of the construction field since there isn’t any work and I’m tired of my body hurting when I wake up, during the day, and when I go to sleep.

Mike Shaw called me this past saturday. They wanted me to come in and fill out an application for the sales position they have open. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking. I’m gonna be one of those guys who stands out there, waiting for you to come by, then try to sell you a car. LOL. I went in on saturday and filled out the application. The receptionist proceeded to tell me that I would have to come back for an interview on monday, but I thought the sales manager wanted to talk to me before hand. Went home, called, and an interview was set up for monday. So monday came and I went to the interview. The interview only lasted about 4 mins, but the sales manager said they would give me a shot and to come back in wednesday (today) to do a drug test and the employment paperwork at 9AM. Here it is, 1130AM, and I’m now waiting for a call back from the sales manager. I’m gonna give him till the end of this blog to call, then I’m gonna call. It should be a good job since the sales manager told me I would be “Paid well”. Whatever that means. I’ll keep updates about it as I find out more of what’s going on.

Financial Foundation Group emailed me monday offering an interview opportunity. I politely declined it though due to one fact. Two years ago I tried to get a job with a company named AP Financial. That job turned out to be a scam and that they were an MLM company. Those who don’t know what an MLM company is, it’s a Multi Level Marketing company that uses an employee pyramid scheme. Pretty much, if you recruit people, you get paid for it and every month that person is employed with the company. Scam alert? I think so. When I read the email monday, the name looked very familiar. I thought about it and found out that the name from Financial Foundation Group was the same name that sent me an interview email 2 years ago for AP Financial. Needless to say, this time around, I knew better. The email looked the same and it wasn’t even a one on one interview, but a group interview. I’m sure that some major companies do group interviews, but to me, it just seems unprofessional to do group interviews.

Well, I’m gonna give the dealership a call again. Hopefully I’ll get to do the paperwork and drug test today and get more info on the job. Wish me luck!

Maybe not exactly the proper title, but I thought it sounded cool. Anywho, guess who the lucky guy is that gets to move today? Yeah, this guy. Ya know, I really hate moving sometimes. Only perk about it is that I won’t have to deal with the 4 flights of stairs ever again after today. I’ve been in this apartment since March, so it was getting close to 6 months being here. Nice thing about moving today, going from an apartment to a house. Holla! So why am I not moving right now you may be thinking? Cause I woke up 30 mins ago and still need to take my last shower here. Hopefully packing will only take as long as the usual time it does. Which happens to be only a couple hours. The longest part about me moving is the drive. Oh well, got some things to get rid of from craigslist then I’ll be taking the first load out of here. Thankfully mr Andy will be helping me move my bed today after he gets off work.

On a different note, last night Kayla noticed that she is starting to show a little. I thought she was just getting a belly from not doing much since she is having a hard time finding a job. Turns out that made me look like an ass. Lol. It seems kinda early for her to be showing, but I guess 12 weeks is good enough. I’m no expert in the pregnancy department. But I think it’s kinda cool lol. This is gonna be one hell of a ride. Come on snow, get here soon!

Better get to moving. So much time, so little to do. Wait, strike that, reverse it. (Name that movie). Laterz.

It’s an odd topic to blog about, but those who know me know I’m not much for fruit. There is one fruit that I’ll eat any time of the day, any day. That fruit ladies and gentlemen, is pineapple. Before last year I didn’t care for the fruit. I didn’t really like pina colada’s or anything pineapple flavored for that fact. One day at lunch, my dad bought lunch and bought me a sandwich and a fruit cup. The cup consisted of kiwi, strawberries, and pineapple. I was really hesistant on eating the pineapple. I started with the strawberries, then tried the kiwi for the first time. It was actually pretty good. The seeds in the fruit gave it a nice texture to eat. After that, I decided to try the pineapple. I didn’t want to be rude and leave it in the cup. I took one bite, and it was over from there.

I blog this now cause I just finished a big cup of pineapple. Lol. I’ve found myself actually trying to dig up change just so I can buy a pineapple cup. Some friends find it actually quite funny. In my opinion, it’s a fun fruit to eat. The texture is perfect. Kind of like that of an orange, but more chunky. Wish the fruit wasn’t so expensive. If I knew how to cut a pineapple, I’d buy those in bulk and just have the top shelf filled with pineapple chunks. I’m starting to think it’s getting to the obsessive point. Just thinking of pineapple makes my mouth water. If 711 made a pineapple slurpee again, I’d be over it like a fat kid on a cup cake! I just love pineapple!

My girlfriend is laughing at me and calling me a dork right now as I write this. Guess this is what I get for always laughing at her and making fun of her on a daily basis. Just glad she knows how to take a joke and sarcasm. Otherwise, I’d be a single man right now

I’ve lived in Colorado for 25 years and I have never seen a storm like the one that just passed through about an hour ago! The sound of the wind over powered my tv while playing a friendly game of worms with Kayla. The tree’s were almost at a 90 degree angle cause of the wind. The rain and hail was coming down so bad I couldn’t see past 1/36 mile. I just did the math on that and it’s about accurate! It even looked like the bottom of a tornado went down our street. The streets were flooded with both rain and hail. It was intense! What was cool about it was we saw the light of about 3 or 4 transformer explosions. The wind was blowing so hard that it was setting off car alarms. The hail probably also played a part in that as well. What a crazy night, and a bad one to not have a garage to put the car in. Luckily, the car appears to have no hail damage what so ever. Now it’s time to go to bed, since work comes early.

        Till next time…

So today I decided that since my foot was feeling better that I would do some cardio today. Did the usual workout routine, mixing it up a little of course. Jumped on the treadmill and realized that I was getting winded much earlier in the workout than I usually do. I also noticed that my foot was starting to hurt again. I was able to do an hour of cardio last wednesday, but apparently the few cigarettes I had today were just a little too much. Time to quit smoking again lol.

Other than that, I’m starting to see definition in my arms and chest area. I’ve never seen much definition out of my body since I was a kid. I’ve been working construction on and off for about 12 years and am now starting to see some results. Guess I really was a fat ass lol. A fat ass who could swing a hammer!

The goal before the snowboarding season is to get my weight down enough to be more nimble on the snowboard. I want to be able to easily do indy, tail and nose grabs. So hopefully cardio once a day for 5 days a week will do the trick. I got till mid november to accomplish this. If I keep working at it, I should nail it easily. Or maybe I’ll just go for the washboard stomach look lol. Either way, the work outs are going smoothly. Strenious(sp?), but in the end will definitelly be worth it.

        Till next time…
